Our lenses are manufactured at our production workshop in Lviv, Ukraine, and orders are dispatched from there. Some of your order information is therefore processed in Ukraine — see section 05.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number, expiry date and security code go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. We receive only the last four digits, the card brand, the billing country and whether the payment succeeded.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR.
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Processing and fulfilling your order, arranging delivery, handling returns and warranty claims | Performance of a contract |
| Answering your enquiries and providing support | Performance of a contract, or our legitimate interests |
| Preventing fraud and keeping the site secure | Legitimate interests |
| Keeping accounting, tax and customs records | Legal obligation |
| Sending marketing emails | Consent |
| Non-essential cookies and analytics | Consent |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the parties below, and only as far as each of them needs it.
| Recipient | What they receive | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Webflow, Inc. — website hosting and ecommerce platform | Order data, form submissions, server logs | United States |
| Stripe, Inc. — payment processing | Payment and billing details, order amount | United States |
| IronGlass production workshop — manufacturing and dispatch | Name, delivery address, phone, order contents | Ukraine |
| Carriers — UPS, Ukrposhta and other couriers | Name, delivery address, phone, contents declaration | Depends on destination |
| Customs authorities | Name, address, declared value and description of goods | Your country |
Webflow acts as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum; its own subprocessors are listed at webflow.com/legal/subprocessors.
Stripe acts as an independent controller for the payment data it collects. Its handling of that data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to enforce our terms and protect our rights.
We are based in the United States and manufacture in Ukraine. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, your data will leave your country.
Both Webflow and Stripe are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Under the European Commission's adequacy decision for the Framework, transfers to certified U.S. organisations can proceed without additional authorisation. Webflow's Data Processing Addendum additionally incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Ukraine is not covered by an EU adequacy decision. For the order data we send to our production workshop, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Where a transfer is strictly necessary to perform the contract you have entered into with us — for example, passing your delivery address to a carrier — we may also rely on Article 49(1)(b) GDPR.
You can request details of the safeguards in place by writing to us.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | 7 years, to meet tax and accounting obligations |
| Warranty and service records | Warranty period plus 2 years |
| Support correspondence | 3 years from the last message |
| Marketing contact details | Until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record only |
| Server logs | Up to 12 months |
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working — they hold your cart, maintain your session and help protect the checkout against fraud. These are set by Webflow and Stripe and do not require your consent.
Any analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are set only after you accept them. You can accept or reject them from the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then stop working correctly.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the right to:
Write to hello@ironglassadapters.com and we will respond within one month, free of charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, California residents can ask what personal information we collect and disclose, ask us to correct or delete it, and are protected against discrimination for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to process your order.
To make a request, email hello@ironglassadapters.com with the subject line "California privacy request". You can use an authorised agent, in which case we will ask for proof of authorisation.
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data goes directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and is handled under its PCI DSS Level 1 certification. Webflow holds a SOC 2 certification and encrypts data in transit and at rest. Access to order data is limited to team members who need it to fulfil orders and provide support.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If a breach affects your data and is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
This site and our products are intended for professional and adult use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The effective date above shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
