Product & Technical

06 entries
AIR is a compact vintage lens rehousing format designed specifically for mirrorless cameras, stabilised systems and modern compact cinema workflows. It keeps expressive vintage optics inside, while adding modern cine mechanics: internal focus, T-stop markings, unified gear positions, improved close focus and user-swappable native mounts.
MKII is our full-size cine rehousing platform, built for traditional cinema rigs, PL-based workflows and larger production setups. AIR was designed for a different kind of workflow: mirrorless cameras, gimbals, Ronin 4D, compact handheld builds and faster-moving productions. Both systems preserve vintage optical character and use proper cinema mechanics, but they are built for different working environments — MKII is the full-size cinema platform, AIR is the compact mirrorless-first platform.
As a guide, shipments typically include:
  • Lens or lens set
  • Front and rear caps
  • Sony E-mount installed by default
  • Additional mount set, if selected with your order
  • Warranty card
  • QC sheet
  • Documentation
  • Protective shipping box with foam
Lens sets may ship in a hard case with custom foam, depending on configuration.
All AIR lenses are assembled in Sony E-mount by default. If you need another mount, we can include a second mount of your choice with your order.
No. Standard engraved markings are not luminous. They are designed to read clearly under normal set lighting or with a focus puller light.
Coverage depends on the focal length and series. Detailed sensor coverage and camera compatibility are listed on each product page under Specs and Coverage. AIR lenses are designed for full-frame / LF+ workflows, with specific coverage details provided per lens.

Mounts & Compatibility

02 entries
AIR supports native user-swappable mounts for:
  • Sony E
  • Nikon Z
  • Canon RF
  • Leica L
  • Fujifilm GF
  • Leica M
The same AIR set can adapt to different camera systems without extra adapters or duplicate lens kits.
Yes. AIR is designed around a user-swappable mount system. This allows owner-operators, rental houses and production companies to adapt one lens set to different cameras and workflows.

Donor Lenses

01 entry
For AIR, donor lens policy depends on the specific series. For supported series, donor lenses must pass our intake inspection before production can be scheduled. Typical non-pass issues include cracked or separated elements, severe haze or fungus, deep front or rear scratches, bent or seized mechanics, heavy oil contamination on the iris or missing critical parts. Borderline cases may be accepted with an additional restoration fee. We provide a condition report before confirming the build.

Service & Warranty

04 entries
Standard warranty is 3 months. Extended coverage may be available by agreement.
For service, please email hello@ironglassadapters.com with your order number, a short description of the issue and photos or video showing the problem. We will guide you through diagnostics and next steps.
Loaner lenses may be available in select cases, depending on availability and location. Please contact us after your service case is confirmed to discuss possible options.
A full care guide will be published. For now, we recommend treating AIR lenses as professional cinema optics: avoid dust, moisture and impact, use proper lens caps and cases, and do not attempt internal cleaning or mechanical adjustment yourself. If you need immediate advice, please contact our service team.

03 entries
